9/10/10- Not Being Homeless is a Plus
Today was the first day where I could live on my own schedule, so I slept in until 11. The temperature here is odd this time of year as it's unseasonably warm (mid-sixties) and no place has A/C. A window into a parking lot keeps occasional breezes coming in throughout the night. Here's some pics of my room. No wider view is possible due to the room dimensions.
Both roommates are great. Fergal is nice guy, pretty tame and Clodette is a very fun, sociable girl to talk to (we also share a love of guilty-pleasure pop music).
Tame day consisting of a bank visit and a trip to the grocery store. Grocery stores here are about 1/10 the size of US stores and charge you for bags. Dynamite lunch though! Went to a Persian restaurant called Zaytoon in Temple Bar.
Had the donor kabob lunch special with chips and a coke for 8 Euro, which is on the low end for lunch prices in the area. They cover half the pita with a basic salad and light ranch. Lamb meat covers the second half, which, if spread out, would cover the entire pita. They add orange sauce which adds a bit of a kick to the meal. The pepper in the sauce is a little intense and has to be spread around once you finish the salad. The chips were w/e, but the meal was so good I will be back soon. I left very happy and very full.
Guinness or Jameson Distillery tour tomorrow!
***Jersey Shore Review***
1. JWoww scares me
2. How could anyone be so dense as Sammi?/ Ron is getting away with murder
3. Mike is still the star of the season and also, oddly, the peacemaker of the house
4. Vinny killed it this episode, hopefully my boy will stay strong the rest of the way
